AI for Product Owners FAQs

AI for Product Owners will cover a wide range of generative AI and AI-integrated software and applications, including Jira Assistant, Spinach.io, Clickup Brain, Zapier, and ChatGPT.

You'll get hands-on experience creating and refining prompts. Utilize this skill with any generative AI tool.

This course equips you with a mindset and approach to AI that transcends specific tools, tools that will certainly change and evolve over the years. Even as you switch between applications and platforms, you'll have the skills to adapt current AI to product ownership responsibilities.

There are no prerequisites or required certifications to take AI for Product Owners.

While product owners in a Scrum environment will get role-specific insights, tips, and knowledge, all of these takeaways can benefit people managing the development of products or services in a setting without Scrum.

AI for Product Owners is different content and subject matter from the Certified Scrum Product Owner course. It's a great add-on to what you'll learn from the CSPO and a way to take your product owner skills to the next level.

People from any industry will benefit from AI for Product Owners, not only product owners working with software products and software teams.

The AI for Product Owners microcredential and associated badge last forever—no renewal necessary.

In addition to this product-oriented course, you can continue to build your skills in artificial intelligence with these two Scrum Alliance courses:

  • AI & Agility: A free course that explores how AI intersects with the history and ethos of agility. You'll get the skills to navigate AI responsibly and effectively. Earn a certificate of completion.
  • AI for Scrum Masters: This microcredential course explores how scrum masters, project managers, and agile team leaders can use AI tools and platforms to pursue continuous team improvement and streamline operations. You'll be able to deliver more and coach your team with data-backed insights. Plus, learn how to engineer effective prompts for ChatGPT and similar GenAI.

Please note that three modules are shared by both AI for Scrum Masters and AI for Product Owners. If you don't want to revisit these modules when you take both courses, simply skip through the content by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking "continue."

The three modules that appear in both AI for Scrum Masters and AI for Product Owners are:

  • Prompt Engineering
  • Customizing AI for Your Team
  • Ethical AI in Scrum Practices

The on-demand AI for Product Owners is made up of text-based lessons and learning modules. There are also flash cards and interactive components. It is not a video-based course. You'll be able to make your way through the course as you please with 24/7 access to the self-paced content.
