Project Management Training FAQs

No specific experience is required.

Project managers facilitate the execution of a project, from planning and development to managing teams and stakeholders and managing time, scope, and budget. In addition, the project manager is responsible for the project's success (or failure), and success in project management depends on having a solid foundation in project management principles and practices.

An excellent foundational certification for those just starting in the project management field is PMI's Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® certification. See Course 3601, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® Certification Training, if you are interested in CAPM certification.

This course introduces best-practice techniques and a project management skill set that can immediately improve your project management performance back on the job. The project management skills needed to implement project management processes, develop leadership skills, and respond effectively to real-world project management scenarios are covered in this course.

The salary of a project manager can vary based on many factors, including location and experience level. Earning a project management certification can increase salary ranges. The current average salary for a project manager in the United States is over $80,000 annually.

Certification candidates and existing credential holders are responsible for reporting all Continuing Certification Requirements Program (CCR) activities to PMI (Project Management Institute). To report the completion of a Learning Tree course, you can use the Online PDU (Professional Development Units) Resources System.
